I am so excited Spring is getting closer! Walking around in nature has me filled with so much anticipation. I keep seeing little signs of it here and there-- some crocuses in bloom, my wild raspberries starting to come up...and the BUGS are coming back! I am a real insect enthusiast, and when I see lots of songbirds back from migration I know the bugs can't be too far behind. Butterflies and moths are my favorite-- I can't believe they're real and not other-worldly sprits from my dreams. Today during my nature adventure, I brought along a moth stamp I made in advance, and painted this beauty using some metallic acrilycis I have become obsessed with. I'm starting to think I won't ever go back to using regular acrylics again! I like to think this little painting shows my anticipation for what's to come (and also my love for twilight, which was the time it was when I was painting)!
