I took a walk during golden hour, and couldn't stop looking at the long arms of the barren trees-- bright orange and yellow, aglow from the light of the sun. It's almost magical, how light can transcend the natural color of something like that. As a photographer I am fascinated with light. I took photos of the trees, but somehow I felt it didn't do the magic justice in this instance, so I decided to use a cream-based watercolor to demonstrate the stark contrast. I felt elevated paying closer attention to how a natural phenomenon in our world behaves. It felt like I was paying attention to something important.
