Today for my time in nature I lay a blanket out under a giant weeping cherry tree and let the petals fall all over my face with the wind. It reminded me of when I used to drive a moped back and fourth down my dad's block as a child-- the cherry petal's flying into my face. The feeling of nostalgia mixed with nature is something I cherish as if it were sacred. What could be more meaningful that connecting my life to the transitory journey of another living thing on this earth? I feel like it makes that journey transcend through time in my memory. It almost brings me to tears it's so beautiful to think about! I think I want to create something about the cherry trees and perhaps my own nostalgia, but I'm not sure what yet. In the meantime, I finished my creepy-crawler creation and I'm really excited about it! I'm not sure if it's perfect or not, but it makes me happy and excited for what's to come.
