Feeding off of what I did earlier in the week, I wanted to try and create another empehermal art piece out of items from nature-- but perhaps in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. The last time I created art inspired by the coronavirus it really moved me, and I had a feeling there is/was more I can do there! It occurred to me that I may even be able to help spread a positive message of encouragement if I were to attempt this in the correct way. I went to work collecting art supplies in nature again, which is turning into one of my favorite activities. I always seem to find something new and exciting-- plus I keep track of all the changes happening in my environment. It makes me so happy to see something new is blooming or budding!
Anyhow, after collecting everything I needed, I decided I wanted to try to focus on a message that would address the necessity of safety during the pandemic, but also drive home the point that nature is thriving in the midst of this virus, and that we shouldn't ignore that-- there is meaning there. That's when it hit me: I wanted to make a botanical house series to encourage people to stay home, but also pointing out how nature IS our home, and how it is THRIVING during this unprecedented crisis!
This is my first piece in the series. I am so inspired about this! I plan on making more of these, hopefully in different styles and perhaps with different plants.
